Wine Label Printing
Homemade wine has become very popular recently for quite a few reasons. If you are going to get into making your own wine you are going to need a way to make labels for the bottles. After all it is likely that you are going to make a variety of different types of wine so you are going to need labels so you can tell what is in the bottle. It also looks nicer if you are giving a bottle to somebody else if it comes with a label attached to it. Fortunately making labels for wine bottles is a very easy process.
While it isn’t absolutely necessary to print labels for your homemade wine most people find that it is a good idea. Obviously you need to have some way of knowing what is in the bottle. This can be done by putting a mark like a letter on the cork but this limits your ability to tell what is in the bottle. After all there is only so much information that you can transmit with one letter. A label will make your life a lot simpler especially if you have a large number of wine bottles. It is much easier to find what you are looking for if it is clearly marked on the label.
Printing a label for you wine doesn't require any equipment that you probably don’t already have. A computer and a printer is really all that you need. There is no requirement that you get a special label printer or any label printing software. You can make a perfectly acceptable label with just a word processor and a printer. Your label can be strictly text if you want to keep your life simple but if you want to get a little bit more creative you have lots of options. You can upload a digital photo to be the background for your label or you can use Photoshop to create your own logo. The choice of how fancy or basic you want to go is up to you.
In addition to a computer and a printer the only thing that you are going to need to print labels for your wine are the actual label themselves. There are a few options here, the simplest and cheapest is to just use regular paper and glue them onto the bottle. Gum paper is another option since they can be easily applied and easily removed when you are done with the bottle. The downside to gum paper is they can be a bit of a hassle to have to handle. Peel and stick labels are the easiest option but they are also the most expensive. They are also a bit a pain to remove if you want to reuse the bottle. Whatever option you choose making a label for your wine really involves little more than using your word processor to design the label printing it and attaching it to the bottle. It couldn't be easier.
